Fees & Sessions

Beginning therapy is a meaningful step. This page is here to give you a clear sense of how I work, what sessions involve, and the different ways we can work together.

Not everyone begins in the same place. During our initial conversation, we can explore which session option is likely to best support your individual needs and therapeutic goals. If you're unsure where to begin, we can work that out together.

Session Options

Adult Psychotherapy

$175 60 minutes

Adult psychotherapy can support greater self-understanding, emotional clarity, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself and your relationships. It can provide space to explore what is happening in your life, make sense of patterns that may be affecting you, and consider what you would like to change.

Sessions are relational and reflective, with the work shaped around you and what feels most relevant. Depending on your needs, this may include talking therapy, somatic psychotherapy, creative or experiential work, or other approaches that support your therapeutic process.

CranioSacral Therapy

$175 60 minutes

CranioSacral Therapy can offer a gentle space to slow down, settle, and reconnect with your body. It may support relaxation, nervous system regulation, and a greater sense of ease and connection within yourself.

Sessions take place fully clothed in a calm, private, and supportive environment, usually with you resting on a treatment table. The work involves gentle therapeutic touch and is guided by your comfort, consent, and individual needs.

Extended Psychotherapy Session

$260 90 minutes

A longer session can provide more space to explore something in depth, allowing time for psychological understanding as well as body-based integration. This can be helpful when there is more to explore, or when you would benefit from a little more space rather than having to fit everything into a standard session.

The session begins with approximately 60 minutes of psychotherapy, followed by around 30 minutes of additional body-based therapeutic work where appropriate. This may include somatic psychotherapy, body awareness, grounding, breathwork, nervous system regulation, or CranioSacral Therapy.

Additional Information

Our First Session

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other. You can bring whatever feels most important. Together, we’ll explore what’s been happening in your life, what you’re hoping for, and whether this way of working feels like a good fit for you.

I’ll explain how I work, answer any questions you may have, and we can begin to consider what might be helpful moving forward.

There is no expectation to commit beyond the first session. Some people find one or two sessions are enough to support them through a particular issue. Others choose to work together over a longer period, particularly when exploring more longstanding patterns or experiences.

If you decide to continue, we’ll discuss a pace and approach that feels appropriate for your needs, goals, and circumstances.

Frequency & Pace

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process.

Some people come for a shorter period with a specific focus, while others choose to work more deeply over time. Weekly sessions are often helpful when beginning therapy, particularly when you want to build momentum or work through something that needs consistent support.

The frequency of sessions can change as your needs change, and we can review the pace of therapy together as the work develops.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice.

Missed sessions or late cancellations are charged at the full session fee.

Session Information

Sessions are held in a private home clinic in Christchurch, providing a quiet and confidential space for therapy.

Psychotherapy sessions are also available online via secure video where appropriate.

I work with adults and adolescents aged 15–17 years. Psychotherapy sessions for adolescents are the same length and fee as adult psychotherapy.

For adolescents, therapy usually begins with an initial discussion involving a parent or caregiver to consider whether this approach is appropriate and to discuss consent, confidentiality, and how we will work together.

While I provide a safe and supportive therapeutic space, this practice is not a crisis service.
